Method

  1. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the peanuts and cashews until they turn golden brown. Keep them aside.

  4. Add the tamarind paste to the pot and cook for 5 minutes on low heat. Stir occasionally.
  5. Add the cooked rice to the pot and mix well with the tamarind paste. Make sure the rice is coated well with the paste.
  6. Turn off the heat and let the rice cool down for a few minutes.
  7. Add the fried peanuts and cashews to the rice and mix well.
  8. Your tamarind rice is ready to serve!
