- 1 cup gram flour (besan)
- 1/2 cup curd
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp green chili paste
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp fruit salt
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

Method
- In a bowl, mix gram flour, curd, water, ginger paste, green chili paste, sugar, turmeric powder and salt to taste. Mix well and make a smooth batter.
- Add fruit salt and mix well. The batter will become frothy.
- Grease the rice cooker bowl with oil.
- Pour the batter into the rice cooker bowl and tap it gently to spread the batter evenly.
- Put the rice cooker on cook mode and let it steam for 20-25 minutes.
- After 20-25 minutes, check the dhokla by inserting a knife or toothpick in the center. If it comes out clean, it is cooked.
- Turn off the rice cooker and let it cool for 5-10 minutes.
- In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds and sesame seeds. Let them splutter.
- Pour the tempering over the dhokla and spread it evenly with a spatula.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
- Cut the dhokla into pieces and serve with green chutney or tamarind chutney.
Notes
- Make sure the batter is not too thick or too thin.
- Add fruit salt just before steaming the dhokla.
- Do not open the rice cooker in between, as it may affect the cooking process.
