Method
- Wash the rice and soak it in water for 30 minutes.
- Heat the oil in a large pot and add the cumin seeds.

- Add the diced potatoes and fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the coriander powder, garam masala, and red chili powder and stir well.
- Add the soaked rice and salt to taste and stir well.
- Add 2 cups of water and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Cover the pot with a lid and reduce the heat to low.
- Cook for 20-25 minutes or until the rice is fully cooked and the water is absorbed.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
