- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp urad dal
- 1 tsp chana dal
- 2 tbsp peanuts
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
- Few coriander leaves finely chopped

Method
Step 1: Cook Rice
Cook 1 cup of rice with 2 cups of water and keep it aside.Step 2: Prepare the Vegetables
Grate 1 cup of carrot and chop 1 onion finely. Slit 2 green chilies and keep it aside.Step 3: Prepare the Spices
In a small bowl, mix 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp red chili powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, and 1 tsp garam masala powder.Step 4: Temper the Spices

Add the chopped onion and slit green chilies. Saute until the onions turn translucent. Add the grated carrot and saute for 2-3 minutes.Step 6: Add Spices and Lemon Juice
Add the spice mix and salt to taste. Mix well until the spices are well combined with the vegetables. Add 1 tbsp of lemon juice and mix well.Step 7: Add Cooked Rice
Add the cooked rice and mix well until the rice is well coated with the spices.Step 8: Garnish and Serve
