For the kebab:- 1 lb ground beef or lamb

- 1 tsp pepper

- 1 tsp coriander
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 2 cups basmati rice
- 4 cups water
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp salt

Method
For the kebab:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef or lamb, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, parsley, cilantro, and bread crumbs.
- Mix everything together until well combined.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- While the meat is marinating, soak the skewers in water for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Divide the meat into 4 equal parts.
- Mold each part onto a skewer, pressing the meat down firmly.
- Place the skewers on the grill or grill pan and cook for approximately 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the meat is cooked through and crispy on the outside.
For the rice:
- Rinse the rice in cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- Add the rice and salt to the boiling water and stir.
- Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot with a lid.
- Cook the rice for approximately 18-20 minutes, or until the water has been absorbed and the rice is fluffy.
- Once the rice is cooked, add the butter to the pot and stir until the butter has melted and coated the rice.
Notes
- You can also use chicken or turkey instead of beef or lamb for the kebab.
- For a healthier option, you can bake the kebab in the oven instead of grilling it.
